Tie-Dye instructions
June 20th
Thanks for coming out to the Tie Dye event Friday night. If you are wondering what to do with your tie dye, here are the next steps:
- Leave shirts in baggie overnight (or longer!), in a warm place (e.g., your garage).
- Rinse dyed fabric well with warm water until excess dye is removed. Cut rubber bands. Rinse a bit more.
- Fill washer to large load setting with hot water (see note below) and a small amount of laundry soap. Wash and dry separately.
- Plain White shirts were pre-washed in hot water before Tie dye, so shrinkage should be minimal.
- Wash separately the first few washes
