We are thrilled to welcome back Sophie! A lifelong swimmer, she competed for 12 years with RMSC. She was also a captain of the Walter Johnson High School swim team and is currently a member of the University of Maryland Club Swim Team. Sophie has coached with FINS, Old Farm Swim Team, and Woodmont Country Club, bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Sharks.
A proud Sharks alum, David has been part of the team since 2010. He has been deeply involved in all aspects of Sharks life-practices, meets, and team spirit. He has competed in multiple all-star meets, and long course events. David brings tremendous energy and dedication to the team. He currently attends the University of Colorado Boulder where he enjoys rock climbing, skiing, hiking, and staying active through running and swimming.
Catherine has been a Shark since she was 4 years old and has continued to love swimming ever since! This will be her 14th year on the swim team and her 6th as a coach. Catherine is a rising senior at Wootton High School.When she’s not at the pool, Catherine plays soccer, interns with the Bethesda Big Train, and works with her school’s SGA. Catherine is looking forward to another season at the pool and is thrilled to continue coaching the younger Sharks.
Samantha is excited to return this summer as a Junior Coach for the Fallsmead Sharks! She started with the Fallsmead pre-team at just 3 years old and now swims year-round with All Star Aquatics. Samantha has been competing for nearly 9 years and recently wrapped up a successful winter season, winning events at Metros, PVS Open Championships, and ISCA Senior Cup, where she also anchored ASA’s record-breaking mixed medley relay. She is currently training for the USA Junior National Championships in August. Samantha was named DMV All-Met First Team and MVP for the Stone Ridge Gators varsity swim team this past season. Outside the pool, she enjoys spending time with her pets, baking, and binge-watching Netflix.
Sid is a rising senior at Wootton High School, and is excited to return this year as a Junior Coach. He has been swimming for 9 years with Fallsmead, and this year will be his 3rd year coaching with Fallsmead. Besides swimming with Fallsmead, Sid has competed with the Wootton Varsity Swim team for the past 3 years. He’s looking forward to another fun summer with Fallsmead and can’t wait for the season to start.
Nolin is a rising sophomore at Wootton High School. She has been a Fallsmead Shark since moving to the neighborhood at 5 years old and is thrilled to join the coaching staff this year as a Junior Coach. When she’s not at the pool, Nolin plays varsity softball for Wootton and competes on a year-round travel softball team. She also enjoys babysitting and loves working with children, making her especially excited to support and encourage younger swimmers this season.
Daniel is a rising sophomore at Wootton High School, and this is his first year as a junior coach. He has swam for Fallsmead since 2016, and currently trains in the winter with the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club. Outside of the pool, Daniel enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing video games, and eating lots of food. He’s super excited to spend another summer with the Sharks!
Lorenzo is a rising senior at Wootton High School, and is looking forward to starting his first year as a Junior Coach. He has swam with the sharks for 8 years. Lorenzo is also on his second year lifeguarding at Fallsmead and is a goalkeeper for Wootton’s varsity soccer team. Lorenzo can’t wait for the pool season and looks forward to seeing you at the pool.
Julia is excited to start her first year as a junior coach! This is her 6th year as a Fallsmead Shark. She swims and coaches year round at Hydrosonic Tiburones. Julia will be starting her freshman year at Holton-Arms. Besides swimming, Julia likes going to concerts, playing guitar and listening to music. Julia is looking forward to coaching younger sharks and teaching them how to swim!
