Hi Shark families! This year, we are excited to introduce our Blue & White Meet and season-long intrasquad contest!

Throughout the season, Coaches David and Sophie will be tracking a variety of factors and awarding points to swimmers and their respective teams. At the end of the season, the points will be tallied, and we will announce the winning team!

Some of these factors include, but are not limited to:

• Practice attendance
  • 3 practices/week = 1 point,
  • 4 practices/week = 2 points,
  • 5 practices/week = 4 points
• Time drops, all-star times, legality in a new stroke, and other significant swimming
• milestones
• Outstanding team spirit at meets and practices
• Winning a heat
• Shark of the Week
• Exuding qualities demonstrative of commitment to being a team role-model

While some of these are more objective, your coaches will have the discretion to award points for other successes and team dedication.

In addition, we will be hosting our first ever intrasquad meet on Monday, July 13th! Swimmers on both the preteam and main swim team will show up in their team colors and compete in a myriad of fun events, ranging from relays to creative, individual events.

More information on this meet and signups for events and volunteering will come out soon. We hope that this provides some helpful preliminary information on this new event.
