Hi Sharks family!

Week one of swim season is in books! We know there are still lots of final spring sports and end of school activities keeping many of you busy. Thank you to those of you who have already registered and paid swim team fees. If you have not, see our A Reps, Joanna and Laura, or Jackie (treasurer) to pay the registration fee by check or credit card.

Here are some important reminders for the coming week:

• PRE-TEAM EVALUATIONS: June 1 and 2. Click HERE to sign up your swimmer. Email us or talk to Coach Catherine if you have questions.
• PRE-TEAM PRACTICES: Start on June 3, at 5:30 pm or 6 pm depending on the practice group. The coaches will communicate with each family regarding your child’s practice group and times.
• MAIN TEAM PRACTICES: continue this week.

Mon- Thurs: 11 & Overs at 5:00 pm; 10 & Unders at 6:15 pm

Fridays: 11 & Overs at 5:30 pm; 10 & Unders at 6 pm

• PEP RALLY: Friday, June 5! Come and join us for popsicles to kick off the season!
• TIME TRIALS: Saturday, June 6 at Rockshire Pool. We will have a fun meet-like event with our Rockshire neighbors!
  • Please go to the meet sign up and declare your swimmer(s) availability. If they are swimming, please choose the events they will swim.
  • We encourage them to swim as many events as possible so they get base times for the season.
  • Talk to either Coach Sophie or David if you have any questions about events. Please declare your swimmer’s events and availability by 6 pm on Wednesday, June 3.
  • Volunteer sign up: sign up here to volunteer
    • We need 19 volunteers to run this event! For more info about meets, see the Swim Meet 101. You may also declare your swimmer(s) availability and sign up for jobs for future meets!

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO:

• SAVE THE DATES: Please review the team calendar HERE and add activities such as Team Photo Day, and End of Season Banquet (among other events) to your family calendars!
• VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: We have a lot of fun events planned for the summer but we cannot run them without parent volunteers to help run/manage events. Please see Joanna and Laura if you can help!
• MERCHANDISE & TEAM SWIM SUIT: if you’re interested in Sharks Gear, you can order some on our Online store or see the Reps if you’re interested in some of the vintage gear we have in stock at the pool.
